Drink coffee to add years to your life

We all want to live longer and there are tons of different pieces of advice out there that are proven to help (like exercise). But this one is so simple, and delicious if we might add, you’ll have no trouble adding it to your daily routine. And hey, it may just help you live to be 100.

“Everyone should believe in something, I believe I’ll have another cup of coffee.”

Probably some cat somewhere

Upgrade your health and add years to your life by ensuring you are drinking enough coffee daily.

So how much coffee should you drink? Research says about 2-3 cups of black coffee (caffeinated or decaffeinated) per day.

First and foremost, coffee is awesome.  Second, please note above we said black coffee.  A grande, iced, sugar and sweetener infused vanilla latte will, in fact, do the opposite of good for your health…so keep your coffee clean if you want to live forever!

“In all five original blue zones areas, people drink up to two or three cups of black coffee per day! The American Heart Association found that consuming coffee, both caffeinated and decaf, was associated with a lower risk of total mortality. Other major studies confirm that coffee drinkers live longer than those who don’t drink it, and have lower risks of early death.”

Five science-backed ways coffee benefits life expectancy and overall health:

  • Coffee provides essential antioxidants
  • Coffee can improve mood
  • Coffee can lower inflammation
  • Coffee can lower risk of type II diabetes
  • Coffee can lower the risk of prostate cancer in men
